Bakersfield boy breathing on his own after heart transplant

After his successful heart transplant on Thursday, Brayden Eidenshink is breathing without the aid of a ventilator. A post on the Facebook page Brayden’s Brave Heart from Monday night said Brayden is on a high flow of oxygen and breathing on his own. The accompanying photo shows the 10-year-old Bakersfield boy listening to his new heart with a stethoscope. Eyewitness News first covered Brayden’s story in 2014.
