
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) – The Bakersfield City School District will not hold regular summer school in 2019. The district’s leadership team, with the support of board members, decided to forgo summer school due to an anticipated budget squeeze, increased costs of summer school and lower summer school enrollment, according to a memo provided Thursday by a district spokeswoman.
