
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) – Bakersfield College will host a groundbreaking ceremony next week for a new student center. The school says the Campus Center/ABC Building will serve as “a hub of important activities” and feature a food court, courtyard, student government spaces, meeting rooms and more. The 67,000-square-foot, three-story building will cost about $35 million to build and is scheduled for completion in late 2020. Funding comes from bond measures passed by voters.
