Alta Sierra Ski Resort is attracting business to Kern Valley

Every weekend, Alta Sierra seems to receive more snow from Mother Nature. Brian Kelly, general manager for the resort in Wofford Heights, said he is excited about the accumulated snowpack. Last week, 12 to 15 inches of snow fell and the resort plans to open this holiday weekend. Kelly said this year is already looking good, given that last season Alta Sierra only opened twice due to a lack of snow. The resort is not the only one seeing the spike in business from the resort.
