Alleged Starbucks stabber pleads not guilty at arraignment

Robert Daniel Rivas, 31, was arraigned in Kern County Superior Court Tuesday afternoon. Rivas, who allegedly attacked a woman and a man with a machete at the Starbucks on Stockdale Highway and California Avenue on Sunday, pleaded not guilty to charges of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon and resisting arrest, among other charges.
