I think an ideal relationship is one where the couple not only love and value each other but like each other too. That we like to spend time together, but are self assured enough to do OK if the other had to take a trip or something. A sense of adventuring through life together and having fun with each other is important. I think having a partner with similar values regarding home and family are important. Similar background is helpful. Some common interests would be good. While also having some differing interests also, to keep the relationship fresh...Mutual respect and admiration of each other is also important...But we don't have to have the same opinions on all subjects as long as we respect and value each others unique contribution to the relationship. A partner that likes pets is important to me. Similar level of intelligence is helpful. Sexual attraction is important also. My ideal would be a true give and take relationship in the area of intimacy with my partner so we trust each other explicitly and can experience the true ecstasy of open, caring, sharing love without fear or judgment...
